Universe In A Sphere

Not every item we own serves a purpose. Often times we just like to buy stuff because it looks cool. Take this Universe in a Sphere for example. Let’s be honest, it’s really just a good sized ball of glass that really does nothing to benefit you. Unless the benefit is that it looks awesome.

One of the amazing things about the universe in a sphere is that it is actually a true scale model of the universe. Representing more than eight hundred million light years of space and over three hundred fifty thousand galaxies. Once that kind of scale is processed by our minds, it is kind of crazy to think about how much is actually out there. And less important, but still with the wow factor, is how this sphere was actually made. The germans who make this use a strong laser that blasts the sphere for each individual galaxy. Now that’s German engineering.
